Love and pleasure slaves

In the Gor books, there are many different types of slaves. The two for this topic today are ”pleasure“ and ”love“ slaves. There is more to them than even ”sex“. They are not simple ”sex“ slaves. They are not whores, prostitutes, or even used just for sex like many other slave types. They are expected (like all other slaves) to obey and do as they are told. Their main goal of service however, is the pleasure of their Owner.

Their owner uses their natural talents, skills and abilities in his favor, not just their beauty, or their ability to wash a dish. They may read and write and act as a scribe or secretary. They may handle finances or help over-see or direct events. The Owner often uses a girl’s skills and abilities to make his life better. If they are not pleasing, he may throw her to his guards to punish, sell her, or even delegate her back to a kettle slave if she can’t do her job and assigned tasks well.

To break it down more, what I believe is that a pleasure slave is meant to bring their Master pleasure, just that. They can provide sex, but it is much more than that. Their duty is to please everyone, make the experiences as enjoyable for all that enters their Masters home. They need to be interesting and carry on a conversation so people will enjoy speaking to them.

They should be able to serve food, dance and make sure they are available to the guests to make sure everyone has a good time. This is on top of domestic skills that they might need to know in case something goes wrong in some fashion. They need to be able to pick up slack when needed to make their Owners life easier, and serve in any way possible. While they may not be used as a general domestic or kettle slave, knowing how to do this is valuable asset to their Master as well.

A love slave in my opinion is meant to be a companion for their Master. They must be able to do everything a pleasure, companion or kettle slave can do, but also love their Master and be able to be loved in return. This does not mean an Owner will go easy on her, in fact it may mean he is harder on her to make sure she knows that while he loves her, his love does not weaken him or make him incapable of Mastering her.

That she is still at his mercy. This position is a demanding one. They are not given leniency just because they are loved, they are often pushed hard to set as an example, and they are well used and reminded of their place. A free man might go through many slaves before finding his ”true love“ slave. I would think this type of slave is closets to those described on ”earth“ as a loving M/s relationship where love is the primary factor behind motivations for both people involved.
